
![]() Richard O. Buck, M.D.Knowledgeable and cheerful, Dr. Richard Buck’s friendly personality and more than 30 years of experience complement one another perfectly. Board certified in asthma, allergy and immunology, as well as pediatrics, he diagnoses and treats patients of all ages. Dr. Buck completed his adult and pediatric training and allergy, asthma and immunology fellowship at the National Asthma Center/National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colo. At the University of Rochester in New York, he earned a medical degree. He received a bachelor’s degree in English at Princeton University in New Jersey. Dr. Buck is also a clinical assistant professor at Oregon Health Science University in Portland. He has a long-standing interest in improving asthma care in Oregon. In 2006, the American Lung Association awarded him the Alberto Salazar Asthma in Action Award for service in asthma education, awareness and research in Oregon. He and his wife, Dr. Virginia Buck, have practiced medicine together in Eugene since 1979. The Bucks have been married more than 40 years and have three children and one grandchild. When he’s not seeing patients, Richard enjoys gardening, hiking, sailing and reading great literature. He spends time with his family whenever he can and always appreciates a good laugh. |
