Allergy & Asthma Research Group – About Us

Our research is about moving forward, discovering new treatments and always looking for ways to improve patients’ quality of life. The research we do focuses on allergy and asthma therapy for children and adults, with a special focus on the safety and effectiveness of inhaled medications.

Committed to learning about new breakthroughs in pharmaceutical research and technology, Allergy and Asthma Research Group is separate, but closely integrated with Oregon Allergy Associates . Since its inception, our group has participated in over 100 clinical trials with a minimum of four active studies at any given time.

Our research group consists of a tight-knit group of specially trained individuals who direct the care of patients who choose to be study participants in pharmaceutical clinical trials.

It is important to test drugs and medical products on the people they are meant to help. By involving a variety of people and age groups, we determine how different people respond to a particular treatment.

When you participate in a clinical trial, you can:

• Be actively involved in your health care and learn more about your condition while helping us learn more.
• Gain access to potentially new research treatments that are not available to the general public.
• Access expert medical care for your condition, because investigators are often specialists.
• Help others by contributing to medical research.

Volunteers receive individual medical attention, including examinations and tests at no cost. We frequently use electronic diary devices to monitor your comfort and safety throughout the study. In many cases, you may be reimbursed for your time and travel expenses. For information about our open enrollment for current studies, call Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
