Jason H. Friesen, M.D.

Board certified in pediatrics, as well as allergy and immunology, Dr. Jason Friesen sees patients of all ages. Caring and bright, he is passionate about finding a balance between the seriousness of food allergies and the importance of leading full and normal lives.

Dr. Friesen completed his pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Va. and his allergy/immunology training at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. At Albany Medical College in New York, he earned a medical degree. He received a bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

He practiced medicine in Vancouver, Wash., before moving to Eugene. He has presented at multiple national allergy meetings and served on Washington’s state board charged with creating a statewide set of policies and procedures addressing food allergies in schools.

In his free time, Jason enjoys all things outdoors. He is a talented landscape photographer, who has won multiple worldwide awards for his images of the Pacific Northwest. He also enjoys running marathons and half-marathons. He is married and has two young children, who share his love of hiking and camping.
